WHAT IS RAD.ASS.ART?
RAD ASS ART is an evolving project highlighting style and sustainability, creativity and expression, and individuality within a community. Most collections are sourced from thrift stores or pieces that would have otherwise been forgotten to end up in a landfill. In today's world of trends and fleeting styles so many quality materials end up forgotten. Our mission is to bring new life to those pieces by reworking, bleaching and repairing the items we find. While RAD.ASS.ART is founded and run by one woman there are so many radass people that go into the collection of pieces, the actual production, documentation and most importantly the inspiration. Join the fam by signing up to our mailing list, adding our socials or purchasing your new-2-U one of a kind piece!
WHY RAD.ASS?
RAD.ASS is for the intentional shopper. For the person who wants one of a kind pieces but doesnt want to sacrifice an arm, a leg and the planet. It’s for the people who want their money to make an impact instead of cushion the pockets of a corporation. It’s for the ones who love scoring at thrift stores but cant find the time. It’s for the folks that want to stand out and the ones that like to stay in, for the the budget ballers and the art collectors, the adventure seekers and hopeful dreamers.
HOW DO I WASH MY RAD.ASS?
How you wash it will impact the life of your piece.
A)To get the most life out of your piece:
Hand wash & hang dry OR wash and dry on cool w/ like colors
B) For the people who don’t give AF:
Throw that shit in the whatever, wherever.
CAUTION- Option B will most likely cause small holes which will make your piece even more rad but may result in a shorter lifespan … kinda like life am I right?
DOES THE BLEACH DAMAGE THE CLOTHES?
Short Answer: For Sure. But I guarantee it will last longer than most of the trends sweeping through the fashion industry.
Okay, okay. So yes, bleach does eat away at the overall durability of the fabric however each shirt is totally different and there’s almost no way to know which will do what. Ive washed shirts originally bought from Walmart 100 times with no sign of wear yet had “higher quality” T’s look absolutely shredded after a dozen washes..
