MEET THE OWNER:
Hey party people! Gaia here.. Oh boy.. started out trying to make this all formal but this is an ‘About Me’ section for a company who’s whole point is embracing self expression and individuality so I’d really be defeating the point if I tried to be something im not.. Like that’s why I’m building my own website in the first place..
So anywhoooo Im a big ass goober with a compulsive drive to create. I’ve been reworking clothing since I could remember.. gathering my inspiration from the creative women who raised me, me Mum, Stepmom & beloved Grandma Annie. I grew up exploring the forests & mountains of Northern California, embarking on roadtrips and making great ass memories with friends. I lived in Tahoe for a few years, rocked the ski bum life and traveled a few countries but knew there was something else I needed to do.. So I packed a backpack with the essentials and flew my ass across the ocean to a random farm on Maui, thinking id be there for 3 months or so.. Well 3 months turned to 4 years and through that time RAD.ASS emerged.
I’ve always loved making a statement through my clothing but have never had the access to just go and buy the look.. So growing up in Small Town, Northern California, I gained my love for self expression by putting together rad outfits of thrifted treasures. When I find materials, my mind instantly starts thinking about its potential and I love bringing those ideas to life.
As passionate as I am about fashion *cough cough (looking RAD AF), I am also deeply invested in the preservation of Our Earth.. My creativity has always been sparked by discarded pieces : thrifted or donated items, ground scores, natural elements and sometimes even trash. This drive for concervation led me away from the fast fashion trends and into creating my own and now into ensuring my business prioritizes its impact. We use recycled packaging for shipping, price tags, signs and pretty much anything we can. Im talking beerboxes and brown paper bags baby. Our materials are sourced second hand or locally from small businesses.
Our mission: to keep everyone dressed to the 10s while respecting our planet and developing our community
